I’m new to WP so also new with panopress.
I’ve successufully installed PP & I even get the little PP with the Embed Panorama window.
So, I’ve tried pretty much everything to my knowledge & I can’t make it work.
First, I’ve tried this:
When I click on Insert, nothing happens.
Since, I’ve tried something different:
SWF [*pano file=”panoramas/trinity.swf” width=”480″ height=”360″]
HTML5 [*pano file=”www.360vista.fr/wp3/wp-content/uploads/panoramas/central5.html”]
HTML [*pano file=”www.360vista.fr/wp3/wp-content/uploads/panoramas/central.html”]
I get a window but still no pano.
Here are the result:
What am I doing wrong?

Try the full URL to the file: http://360vista.fr/wp3/wp-content/uploads/panoramas/trinity.swf
let us know if it’s working

Hello Omer & thank you for your message;
it does work for the flash (swf) file! Many thanks.
I’ve tried this for HTML5 but it doesn’t work:
Any great solution for me 😉
Again, thank you.

The URL to the file is incorrect, try http://360vista.fr/wp3/wp-content/uploads/panoramas/central5.xml

Here’s what I’ve tried:
Unfortunately, doesn’t work

Thank you for your time 😉November 15, 2012 at 3:47 pm #1788

We are getting there;
What i’ve inserted:
XML [*pano file=”http://360vista.fr/wp3/wp-content/uploads/panoramas/central5.xml”]
I know have the play button but still no pano.
I get a blank screenNovember 15, 2012 at 4:39 pm #1790
HTML5 pano works OK, for flash, place swf file with the same name (central5.swf) in the same folderNovember 16, 2012 at 3:02 am #1792
Here’s a quick sum up of what is working or not
FLASH (SWF): works fine: I’ve added a jpg preview & everything is in order
HTML5 (HTML): open a window linking to my homepage (This is somewhat embarrassing, in’t it?). As if here the page wasn’t available.
XML: open a window like central5.html but nothing happens. The popup window remains blank as if the pano wasn’t loading
Question: for HTML5, should I link to a html file or xml?
I’ve tried on Safari & Firefox. Results are the same.
Adding www in front of 360vista.fr doesn’t help.
HTML5 was created with Pano2VR & works fine ( http://360vista.fr/wp3/wp-content/uploads/panoramas/central5.html )
I’ve added a 2 screenshots.
Again, thank you for your time.

If you are using XML, you get both HTML5 and Flash – PCs will get the flash version and iPhons/iPads will get the HTML5 automatically.
1. Create XML and SWF files with the same name (for example my-pano.xml & my-pano.swf) and place them in the same folder on your server.
2. Link the XML file in PanoPress shortcode.
No need for HTML file.

I’m using Pano2VR & when creating a HTML5 pano, no flash is created
Here’s the screenshot of the folder:
I do have with Pano2VR the option to create a flash pano but can’t do both at the same time.
Result is online with the same issues:
Tricky…November 18, 2012 at 7:08 am #1802
both of these addresses failed for me when embedded in panorpress, despite the fact that they can otherwise be accessed directly
the only thing i can think of is that you have a conflicting wordpress plugin or perhaps htaccess file which is causing these addresses to fail in panopress, have you tried disabling other plugins etc as described in the PanoPress troubleshooting FAQ ?

Hello Sam & thank you for your message;
I’ve put my html5 here:
The only code here is:
[ pano file=”http://360vista.fr/wp3/wp-content/uploads/panoramas/trinity5/trinity5.xml”]
and the page’s address is:
Let me look into htaccess & I’ll get back to you.
Again, thank you.

– update –
I’ve tried the html5 on my iPad (iOS 6.0.1) & it does work… Works also on my iPhone (iOS 5.0.1)
I’ve just intalled Chrome on my mac & still the same issue.
Really don’t get it. I’m on Mac os 10.7.5November 18, 2012 at 5:24 pm #1805
iOS devices use HTML5 and PCs use Flash.
Output your pano to SWF and upload to the same folder as the XML with the same file name (see example above) .

Getting there, getting there.
I’ve managed, with your help, to make my pano work.
I still have one issue with iDevices (iPad & iPhone).
By default, the pano is viewed as if it was in fullscreen.
In order to have my icons visible, I need to make a double-tap on the screen.
How can I optimize my viewing of pano on iDevices?
