Hi, I’m having a bit of trouble I’m hoping you can help with… I Used Panotour to create the tour (By Kolor)

Hi I have confirmation that my files uploaded correctly to the server:
    http://www.jesse-gigandet.com/wp-content/uploads/panos/pano-grand-canyon-tour/pano-grand-canyon.html

and I used this code on my page:

    pano file=”panos/pano-grand-canyon-tour/pano-grand-canyon.xml”
(I also tried the absolute link with no luck)

Here is the page I placed that code:
    http://www.jesse-gigandet.com/panorama-grand-canyon/?preview=true&preview_id=185&preview_nonce=28f3551554

In the settings, the upload folder path is: wp-content/uploads

Please let me know if there are any known conflicts with the “Arcadian” (responsive theme). If possible I don’t want to disable this as I have considerable work done to date using this theme, but I have disabled other plugins. Please let me know if you see anything that needs adjustment or if you have any advice…

    Thanks!
    Jesse

panotour pro embeds require using the html file, not xml, as explained in the panopress instructions

    http://www.panopress.org/instructions/

so if you embed like this it should all work fine

    Error
    Javascript not activated

Thanks!!!! Should’ve tried that – appreciate the help! I have another question now that it seems to be working… is there a way to insert a thumbnail image of some kind (I can create a still image of the panorama), that would replace the current “Play button”…?

My goal is to place several on the page, and would like a way to visually identify them.

Here is the sample of the page:

    http://www.jesse-gigandet.com/panorama-grand-canyon/?preview=true&preview_id=185&preview_nonce=d9c9da9d18

    Thanks again for the assistance,

    Jesse

you can of course give each pano a unique preview thumbnail like this

    pano file=”my-pano.html” preview=”my-pano.jpg”

play button can be changed to another image but only for all panos not per pano, see this post for details

    Hi,

I’m having the same issue: Can’t get my panos appear on my website.
I followed the instructions on panopress.org as strictly as possible.
WP 3.5.1, Panopress 1.0, no other plug-ins enabled.
Panoramas generated by PTP 1.8.0 with KRPano 1.0.8.14.

    Relevant Panopress settings:
    Upload Folder Path: wordpress/panorama
Panopress sais that the folder does not exist. It does exist. Could be a bug?

    PTP settings:
    Standard Tour: ticked
    Mobile Devices Tour: ticked
    HTML Template: generic.html

    Wordpress page shortcode:
    pano file="panorama/vac_bormuzeum/vac_bormuzeum.html" preview="panorama/vac_bormuzeum/vac_bormuzeumdata/graphics/vac_bormuzeum0_thumbnail.jpg"

I tried to parse errors via Firebug net console and returned the following error:
    GET vac_bormuzeum0_thumbnail.jpg     404 Not Found

if I hover above the line then the path looks like this with repeated wordpress/ and panorama/ folder structure:
    http://ajgogroup.hu/wordpress/wordpress/panorama/panorama/vac_bormuzeum/vac_bormuzeumdata/graphics/vac_bormuzeum0_thumbnail.jpg

Some more info is displayed when expanding error desc:

    hi andras

as specified in the PanoPress Troubleshooting FAQ the info we need to solve this is a direct working link to the pano you are trying to embed and a link to a wordpress page on your site with a panopress embed that is failing, not the error messages that the wordpress page shows

this is the pano i believe you are trying to embed (this page fails to load a pano, see below)

    http://ajgogroup.hu/wordpress/panorama/vac_bormuzeum/vac_bormuzeum.html

and this i believe is the wordpress page you are trying to embed it on

    http://ajgogroup.hu/wordpress/

the pano is failing for some reason not connected to panopress, it seems that your version of kolor panotour pro is using a pirate license registered to weloveteameat-AT-eat.com which is probably the reason your pano is failing, visit the kolor site to purchase a proper license, and visit the panotour forums for help w panotour pro

the error saying the upload folder does not exist is not a bug, it is correctly telling you the folder specified does not exist, the upload folder path is specified from the root of your wordpress install, which in your case is http://ajgogroup.hu/wordpress/, not http://ajgogroup.hu/

so if the root of your wordpress site is here

    http://ajgogroup.hu/wordpress/

and if your panoramas are stored here

    http://ajgogroup.hu/wordpress/panorama/

you would set your pano upload folder as just “panorama”, not “wordpress/panorama”

then you should be able to use the shortcode like this

otherwise, we cannot provide support for pirated versions of panotour or other software, so if you have been “evaluating” it for your needs, best to now purchase a license ASAP

    thanks 🙂
