"Error: Viewer is not supported" [RESOLVED]
  • riefariefa April 2011
    Hi all,

After i put my pano using the shortcode, i received error as stated at subject:

I am using krpano...and fyi, i am also new to krpano and have no background whatsoever about coding...:D...but trying hard to beat the steep learning curve here...so..kindly bare with me..:)

I follow the instructions to use global swf, all files and folders are at the right place i presume, but still get the error message.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks

    hi riefa,

this error is usually generated when you enter  wrong file type.

in global-swf setup the file should be an XML file so the shortcode should look something like this:
    [pano file="my-pano/my-pano.xml"]

    hi Omer,

Thanks for the reply, i just realize that the path at the shortcode is case sensitive.

Now the pano is showing, but the skins won't load: http://idvr360.com/?p=633

The same pano with direct link to html, the skin loads just fine: http://idvr360.com/testkrpano/Lengkuas.html

    any thoughts?

    Thanks

    hi riefa,

upload the skin folder into your global viewer folder(wp-content/panorama/krpano/)

you may also need to alter your xml files something like this -
    in my-pano.xml, change

    <include url="skin/defaultskin.xml"></include>

    to

    <include url="../krpano/skin/defaultskin.xml"></include>

    and in defaultskin.xml change

    <style name="button" url="%SWFPATH%/skin/buttons.png" keep="true"></style>

    to

    <style name="button" url="buttons.png" keep="true"></style>

or something similar, a bit of experimentation with paths will get it working with your set up

once you have figured out the paths that work for your site, these changes can then be applied to the krpanotools droplet config files to automatically create xml with the proper settings

    Thanks Omar & Sam!

I simply move the skin folder to global viewer and all sort out.

I aslo experiment with Sam's suggestions, it works but not all...i don't know why, maybe i still have to experiment a bit though..;)

    Last questions:
When I view the pano on Safari and change the user agent to iPad or iPhone, there is this black shading infobox showing these error:

INFO: krpano JS 1.0.8.12 (build 2010-11-24)
    INFO: Desktop/MacIntel - iOS:3.2.2 Safari:4.0.4
    INFO: registered to: Riefa Istamar
    ERROR: plugin[openfs] loading error: buttons.png
    ERROR: plugin[dragmode] loading error: buttons.png
    ERROR: plugin[left] loading error: buttons.png
    ERROR: plugin[quality] loading error: buttons.png
    ERROR: plugin[down] loading error: buttons.png
    ERROR: plugin[right] loading error: buttons.png

my question would be, what might cause this and how to solve it, and also is there anyway i can set the infobox not automatically poped out so at least viewers do not  get distracted? I know i can easily close it by pressing 'o', but not everybody know this..:D

this might sound more to krpano questions, but really appreciate any thoughts on these issue..:)

    Thanks.

its the same thing w the button path, try setting it as i recommend above in default skin.xml after moving your skin to your global folder & pointing your panos xml to that skin

if you are using safari open the activity viewer window to see where it is trying to load the images from to help get the xml working

or, you can always use an absolute path to your buttons.png if all else fails...

if you are having problems with global swf, disable it and use the normal mode

see the recently updated panopress instructions for more details

see the krpano documentation for info on krpano skins & xml etc
