Changing Panobox close button
  • Omer+CalevOmer Calev April 2012
    PanoPress (1.0.b1 & up) lets you change its look by adding CSS rules into the CSS box in the admin page.

    In this example we'll move the 'Close' button in Panobox from the lower-right to the upper-right cornet and replace the icon with Apple like image:
    image

    The Icon
    We need a small image to be used as icon, make it yourself or grab a free one from the web. upload the image to your server and copy its url to a file on your computer, we'll use it in the next step.

    CSS Code
    Open PanoPress admin page, click on 'Show Advanced Options' and locate the CSS box, copy & paste the following code into the CSS box:

    .pb-box .pb-close{
        position:absolute;
        top:-10px;
        right:-10px;
        width:29px;
        height:29px;
        background:url(http://YOUR-SITE/YOUR-IMAGE.png)
    }

    .pb-box .pb-close:hover{
        background:url(http://YOUR-SITE/YOUR-IMAGE.png)
    }

    Replace the url in the code  with the link to your image and edit width, height, top & right to match your image size.

    Optionally, you can use another image  in the same size for the lower part of the code to get nice 'mouse-over' effect, if not - just use the same url in both rules.

    Save changes.

    That's it ;)

  • Nice tip!!! I noticed the close image will sit behind the panorama though, not overlapped as the example shows. I slid it over enough to not sit behind the image.

    you could throw in something like

    z-index: 10000;

    in there, should bring it above other elements

  • That didn't change it. The flash panorama itself still sits over the button. Any other ideas?

    Hi,

    The flash "wmode" parameter need to be set to "opaque", if you are not using iframe you can set it from pp's settings page.

    If you have to use iframe, you need to add the parameter to the embedding code.

    For KRPano script, you can replace embedpano function with createPanoViewer that lets you add parameters:

    var viewer = createPanoViewer({swf:"krpano.swf",target:"panocontent"});
    viewer.addVariable("xml", "pano.xml");
    viewer.addParam("wmode", "opaque");
    viewer.embed();

    For Pano2VR look here: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6242#p23154
